The Plan

Goal:

  • Lose 100 pounds within the next 24 months.

Motivation:

  • Don't wanna die young.

businesses,concepts,goals,Photographs,text

Method:

  • Eat Less - Move More.

Specifically eat less sugar & processed foods but more veggies & fruits.

Exercise in some aerobic, heart pumping way at least 20 minutes a day 5 days a week. (for now)

Life light weights as the spirit moves. (From past experience, the spirit doesn't move much, but we'll see.)

Purpose of Blogging my Journey:

  • Accountability (I'll try to blog my food journal as often as I can and be real when I fall off the wagon from time to time)
  • Support (you'll hopefully comment often and join the blog and make me feel less alone!?!?)
  • Encouragement to others (I'm so hoping that this ginormous leap outside my comfort zone will be helpful for someone out there sharing my struggle!)

I plan to share healthy recipes that work for us, realities of the journey towards health, and pictures of my progress. Lord willing!!

  2. I applaud you for this plan and asking for the accountability! That is the hardest part of reaching a goal, but it's so important.

I am not necessarily trying to lose weight, but I do have the goal of exercising at least 3x a week (usually 45 minutes to an hour). I will join you in staying accountable to the exercise!

  3. I'm there with you Chantelle. I've lost around 80 but have 40 more to go to reach my goal. All of your plans sound very good and is how I lost mine. Is there a TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group close by.They highly support what you are doing and don't give you any program to use. They are a encouragement group using contests etc. and weekly weigh ins to motivate you. They are very reasonable financially $26.00 a year then each chapter sets their own monthly dues.My chapters dues are $5.00 a month just google Take Off Pounds Sensibly and the site will come up for a place to put in your zip code and then it will give you all the chapters that are within 50 miles of you or closer. You can visit once before deciding to join.I will be praying for you and cheering you on. I know how hard this journey is.But take it one minute, one second, one hour, one day at a time.

  4. I currently weigh 197# and would rather be at 150#. Of course, I have been in the 230's a couple of times. I am 55, but have been consciously trying to eat healthier. I would love to share your journey with you.

  6. I am cheering you on!! Weight isn't my issue but I struggle with eating right. I stink at eating healthy foods. And it affects me. I get headaches and my stomach is a mess. My husband is trying to lose weight so I have been working really really hard at making healthier foods!!
